Nealis leads Lady Mavs to win over Murray

TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma—The NOC women picked up a conference win over Murray State Monday night at Tishomingo.

The NOC women improved to 8-15 on the year, 4-8 in conference play.  

The NOC Lady Mavs broke a three game losing streak with a 72-60 win over Murray.

Sophomore Hannah Nealis hit five 3-pointers on her way to 24 points to lead the Lady Mavs.  Sabela Reigosa Permas added 16 points and Kaitlyn Hodgins had 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. 

NOC led Murray State 36-28 at half and then went on a 19-7 third quarter run to build a 55-35 lead after three quarters.

Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause was pleased with the Lady Mavs defense.

"Our defensive quickness and reactions on the boards was much better," Krause said.   "It was a good win against a good team on the road. We really focused on defense this past week and it paid off."
