Mavs' Baseball splits with Rich Mountain

The 15th ranked Northern Oklahoma College Mavs split two games with Rich Mountain (AR) in Tonkawa Thursday afternoon.

NOC won the opener 13-4 and dropped the second game 14-8.

The Mavs (23-11) are 4-6 in conference play.  Rich Mountain (17-14) is 6-4 in league play.

In Game 1, the Mavs trailed 4-3 before scoring seven runs in the fourth to take a 9-4 lead.  The Mavs then tacked on three insurance runs to earn the 11-4 win.

Holden Bartosovsky and Geo Blackshaw led a 16 hit attack with three hits each.  Levi Haueter, Sam Shank, and Barrett Rose had two hits each.

Hayden Priest, Garrett Goodson, and Bryant Bailey drove in one run each.

Jackie Robinson earned the win throwing 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.

In Game 2, NOC outhit Rich Mountain 18-8 but lost 14-8.

Geo Blackshaw had four hits while Matt Minyon had three for NOC.  Barrett Rose homered for the Mavs.

The visitors opened a 12-5 lead after seven leading to the 14-8 win.

Blake Hubbard was the starter with bullpen help from Josh Bumgarner, Carter Hines, and Brysen Williams.

The Mavs return the trip to Rich Mountain in Mena, Arkansas, on Saturday.
