Duhon's blast leads Mavs past South Arkansas

EL DORADO, Arkansas -- Darian Duhon's three run homer earned the Mavs a split with South Arkansas on Friday.

The Mavs won the second game 6-4 after losing Game 1 3-2.

NOC (20-16) is now 4-10 in conference, South Arkansas is 15-15 and 5-5 in league play.

In the second game, Darian Duhon's three-run homer proved the difference in a 6-4 Mavs' win.

NOC and South Arkansas were tied at 3-3 in the seventh when Duhon's bomb scored Bo Charboneau and Kyson Snelson.

Cash Jay had two hits while Snelson added two runs batted in.

Ethan Louthan went 5.1 innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits.  Ayden Page earned the win with 1.2 innings out of the Mavs' bullpen.

In Game 1, South Arkansas scored the game winner in the 8th inning beating NOC 3-2.

The Mavs, down 2-2, scored two runs in the third to even the game at 2-2 with rbi's from Barrett Rose and Geovanni Blackshaw.  Snelson and Duhon scored the two Maverick runs.

Luke Livian tossed the first seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits.  Graeme Rios suffered the loss in relief.

The Mavs play two more games at South Arkansas on Saturday.
