NOC Tonkawa dropped a pair of conference games to rival NOC Enid on Thursday.

The Mavs lost the first game 8-2 and dropped the night cap 13-3.

NOC (22-19) fell to 5-13 in league play while NOC Enid (16-21) improved to 7-7.

In Game 1, the Mavs got off to a good start as Kyson Snelson tripled and then scored on a Barrett Rose ground out and the Mavs led 1-0.

After the Jets took a 4-1 lead the Mavs scored a single run in the fourth to cut the lead to 4-2 as Jaylyn Bennett's single chased home Geovanni Blackshaw.

NOC Enid then tacked on four more runs to win 8-2.

Snelson led the Mavs with two hits.  Ethan Louthan was the starter with bullpen help from Dylan Hamilton and Malik Wilson.

In Game 2, NOC Enid jumped out to an 8-0 lead and cruised 13-3.

The Mavs' offense came in the sixth when NOC scored three runs.  Jaylin Bennett's double scored Blackshaw and Darian Duhon and then Garrison Brandt's double scored Bennett accounting for NOC's three runs.

Blackshaw, Duhon, and Bennett each had two hits for the Mavs.

The Mavs outhit NOC Enid 11-9.

Ayden Page was the starter for the Mavs with bullpen help from Billy Humphrey, Jacob Mallozzi, Jacob Conner, and Malik Wilson.

NOC Tonkawa can gain revenge Saturday at NOC Enid starting at 1 p.m. for the final two games of the conference series.
