Ten run sixth leads Mavs over NOC Enid

ENID, Oklahoma --  A 10-run sixth inning led the Mavs to a 13-5 win over NOC Enid Saturday in Enid.

The Mavs dropped the second game 6-5.

The Mavs (23-20) are 6-14 in conference while NOC Enid (17-22) is now 8-8.

In Game 1, the Mavs trailed 2-0 and then sent 15 men to the plate scoring 10 runs in the sixth.

Darian Duhon and Barrett Rose led the Mavs' attack with three hits each.  Jaylyn Bennett and Mitchell Lucero had two hits each.

Luke Livian earned the win in 6.2 innings of work allowing five runs.  Jacob Conner finished the game with .1 innings worked.

In Game 2, the Mavs rallied from 5-3 down in the ninth but lost 6-5.

Down 5-3 in the ninth, Nate Windle scored on a Kyson Snelson groundout and then Cash Jay scored on a Geovanni Blackshaw single to tie the game at 5-5.

Barrett Rose homered for the Mavs one of his three hits in the game.

Snelson and  Blackshaw had two hits each.  The Mavs out hit NOC Enid 12-5.

Caden Fiveash and Graeme Rios allowed a total of five hits over nine innings.

NOC is at Murray State Thursday for two conference games at 1 p.m.
