Mavs drop two to Murray State

TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma --  NOC Tonkawa dropped two conference games at Murray State 10-6 and 22-12 on Thursday.

NOC (23-22) fell to 6-14 in conference while Murray (20-18) improved to 7-9 in league.

In Game 1, the Mavs were down early 6-1 and never recovered losing 10-6.

Ryan Duncan and Darian Duhon had two hits each while Cash Jay homered for the Mavs.  Barrett Rose also doubled and had two runs batted in.

Ethan Louthan started for the Mavs with Jacob Conner and Malik Wilson pitching in relief.

In Game 2, the Mavs exploded for 12 runs but it wasn't enough in a 22-12 loss.

Lake Strickland homered for the Mavs and drove in five runs while Jay had two doubles and two runs batted in.

Geovanni Blackshaw also homered for NOC and drove in three runs.

Caden Storts was the starter for the Mavs.

The Mavs can even the four game series Saturday in a Tonkawa doubleheader at 1 p.m.
