NOC Tonkawa swept Southwestern (IA) in a Thursday doubleheader at Mavericks Field, 4-2 and 17-7.

Game 1

Aidan LeMasters smashed an insurance home run in the 6th and Tres Lorah earned the win in relief with two shut out innings as NOC beat Southwestern 4-2 on Thursday.

The Mavs took an early 3-1 lead with Kolbe Mills providing fireworks with a solo blast in the 2nd.

Cade Dickinson worked the first five innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits.  

Jacob Bennett added a triple and run scored with Braden Hernandez had a single and run scored.

Game 2

In Game 2, the Mavs jumped out to a 10-0 lead and beat the Spartans 17-7.

The Mavs outhit the Spartans 17-7.

Robert Evans and Bennett homered for the Mavs While Enrique Munir Diaz and Easton John had three hits each.  Bennett, Mills, Evens, and Rhett Leu had two hits each, Mills and Leu drove in three runs each for the Mavs.

Max Coughlin (2-0) worked 4.1 innings earning the win while Barrett Kasprowicz, Corey Jordan, Preston Senter, and Austin Wylie worked from the Mavericks pen.

What's Next:  The Mavs (5-1) host Southwestern (IA) Friday in a doubleheader starting at noon.
