The NOC Mavs open the 2025-26 season Saturday afternoon against South Central Prep on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The Mavs are guided by third year head coach Brandon Gossett.

This team has had a good preseason, and we continue to get better," Gossett said.  "It has helped having a few older guys and transfers to help lead us and turn our culture around. Caison Cole, Ryan Rodriguez and MJ Miller have led the way scoring this preseason, while Jaydon Awe and Dorian Johnson have been great rebounding. Jarvis Palmer, James Murray, and DJ Howell have been great defensively."

The Mavs return Xon Williams (9.0 points), Ebi Bortey (5.0 points, 4.0 rebounds) and Boxy Wallace who had a medical redshirt in 2024-25.

Projected starters include MJ Miller, Caison Cole, Ryan Rodriguez, Dorian Johnson, and Jaydon Awe with a bench rotation of DJ Howell, Jarvis Palmer, James Murray, Ebi Bortey, and Jordan Reed.

The Mavs face a tough schedule with games against Western Texas (TX) and Ranger (TX) at the UCO Classic as well as games against Barton (KS) and Colby (KS) at the Barton Booster Classic.  The Mavs also face New Mexico (NM) and Dallas College Richmond (TX) at the NMJC Classic as well.  The Mavs also travel to Cowley (KS) in mid-November.

NOC hosts Neosho (KS), Labette (KS), and Southwest Christian JV before the holiday break.

Conference games start Jan. 5 when the Mavs host NEO.
