Teagen Honer had seven hits in Tuesday's 7-1 and 10-8 doubleheader sweep of NOC Enid at Maverick Field.

The Mavs (18-10) improved to 10-4 in conference while NOC Enid (13-23) fell to 5-13 in conference play.

In Game 1, Honer had three singles and one run batted in while Jasmine Warriner and Meagan Bellar had two hits each.  Bellar drove home three runs.  Karsyn Coleman also scored two NOC Maverick runs.

The Mavs scored in four consecutive innings with three runs in the sixth to build on a 4-0 lead.

That's all Lynsey Ailey needed as the sophomore right hander allowed one unearned run on four hits striking out 11.

In Game 2, the Mavs needed some late inning heroics in a 10-8 win.

The Mavs trailed the Jets 8-4 but scored four runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to rally past the Jets.

Honer, who had four hits in Game 2, singled home Cozee Clark and then Margaret Landes scored an insurance run on a Savannah Chenoweth ground out.

The Mavs scored four runs in the sixth as the Mavs uses hits by Landes, Bellar, Honer, and Haiden Huster.

Coleman homered for NOC Tonkawa while Honer and Chenoweth had two rbi's each.

Ailey tossed two innings of scoreless relief to earn the win in back of starter Emma Enderud and reliever Molly Myers.

The Mavs are at Eastern Thursday and at Rose State Saturday.
