Sophomore pitcher Lynsey Ailey broke the NOC record for strikeouts Friday against Connors in a doubleheader split with the Cowgirls.
The Mavs (23-15) lost the first game 12-4 and won the night cap 10-8.
In Game 1, Ailey needed four strikeouts to break the record. In the fifth inning, Ailey recorded her 427th career strikeout breaking the record held by Taylor Lane.
Connors won the game 12-4, the Mavs had just two hits, one a seventh inning three run home run by Karsyn Coleman.
In Game 2, the Mavs built a 6-0 lead, later trailed 8-6, and then rallied for a 10-8 win over the Cowgirls.
Teagan Honer's double scored Margaret Landes and Meagan Bellar with the eventual winning runs in the 6th after Jasmine Warriner scored on a wild pitch tying the score at 8-8.
Honer had four hits for the Mavs while Warriner, Bellar, and Landes had two hits each. Honer had three rbi's while Morgan Fowble had two runs driven in.
Warriner led off the Mavs' first with a solo home run.
Emma Enderud went the distance allowing eight runs on 11 hits.
The Mavs host UA Rich Mountain Monday at 1 p.m.
