MIAMI, Okla. -- NOC split a pair of conference games at NEO Saturday in Miami. The Mavs won the first game in extras 4-2 and dropped the night cap 10-2.
In Game 1, Faith Williams and Jadison Ackerman had rbi singles in the 10th inning leading NOC past NEO 4-2.
Hailey Schutz and Riley Westmoreland both reached to set the table at the top of the inning.
Trailing 2-0, the Mavs rallied in the 5th tying the score as a Kailey Rich single scored Breeanna Gomez and then Newton scored on a sacrifice fly by Ackerman.
That's all Adisyn Peetoom (11-5) would need as the freshman worked a 10-inning complete game allowing one earned run.
Ackerman had three hits in Game 1.
In Game 2, NOC outhit NEO 10-9 but lost 10-2.
Ackerman, Schutz, and Madyson Austin had two hits each for the Mavs.
Kaidince Calvert, Angel Franklin, and Kennedy Zook worked for the Mavs.
NOC (22-12) is now 1-5 in league while NEO (15-13) is 1-5 in league.
What's Next: The Mavs host USAO JV on Tuesday, March 31, at 1 p.m./3 p.m.
