Bellar's home runs lead Mavs past Rich Mountain

MENA, Arkansas --  Meagan Bellar's two home runs salvaged a split for the Mavs at UA Rich Mountain winning the second game 4-2 after losing the first 5-4.

NOC (21-13) is now 13-7 in league play while Rich Mountain (22-23) is now 6-16.

In Game 2, Bellar homered twice and drove in all four NOC runs in a 4-2 win.

She had a three run blast in the third and a solo shot in the fifth.  Bellar has 12 home runs on the season.

That's all the support that Emma Enderud needed as the freshman allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings.

In Game 1, Rich Mountain scored the go-ahead run in the seventh beating the Mavs 5-4.

NOC trailed Rich Mountain 4-2 before scorring two runs in the fourth to tie the game at 4-4.

The Mavs tied the game at 4-4 on a Lynsey Ailey double scoring Haiden Huster and a Cozee Clark single scoring Savannah Chenoweth.

Not took an early lead in the first on a Teagan Honer double and then added to the lead in the second when Clark's sacrifice fly scored Ailey.

Ailey allowed 11 hits and struck out nine over 6.2 innings.

Bellar, Clark, and Ailey had two hits each.

NOC hosts Connors Friday at 3 p.m. for a conference doubleheader.
